Dichroi does not write to impress or in search of admiration. Dichroi writes simply to unleash what each member feels inside; be it anger, frustration, sadness, joy or any number of emotions. It's true this is an instrumental band, but this does not mean that it cannot convey emotion. Rather, it gives the listener the ability to put themselves in the driver seat of their own emotions. Dichroi gives them a light shove in a general direction, but they (the listener) receives the rare gift of being able to envision their own theory of what caused each song to be written. Dichroi came into being in late 2003. The members, all of a somewhat young age, wrote an album (The Alphabet Failure) expecting to find a singer before final recording. While recording TAF, The Three experimented and eventually found their own contribution to the music scene, they found their own sound: an instrumental band capable of causing rising tides of emotions as well as rollercoaster like plunges from lightness to darkness. The Three continued their instrumental prowess and eventually became convinced that it was time to take themselves more seriously. Dichroi has taken upon itself the duty of creating an album which delivers to the listener what all bands seek: a CD which can be listened to straight through, from start to finish. The band currently resides in the Greater Tacoma area. Although they all lead hectic and busy lives, they all find time to work on their passion... Dichroi.
