Those Days Are Gone
Picture this.... a man enters a dimly lit after-hours joint. At the bar a bunch of scantily clad women are openly snorting cocaine, drinking expensive champagne and generally having a great time. Soon he is greeted by all and sundry, they know him as a free spender, a nice guy so kind he sometimes is regarded as a fool. The night is long and as it draws on, his money dwindles and eventually he heads for the door. Outside the sun is already up, and as he shields his face from the glare and passersby, he feels shame rise up inside him,and the thought of his mother causes him to chide himself mercilessly. That was Dobby Dobson, years ago, before the death of his mother brought him to his knees, and propelled him into the arms of jesus. This CD chronicles dobson's journey from the depths of the most wanton of lifestyles up through the miry clay to a most beautiful existence of praising god. In one of his songs he wrote '....for although i was drowning myself in the mud, he lifted me up saying 'in you there's still good' and i heard his voice, now those days are gone' everysong was written by dobson as his testimony, loud and clear. Enjoy.
