Product Notes

In July 1970, the Calgary band Done On Bradstreet was on the rise. They had been chosen by the promoters of Festival Express to open the Calgary stop on the tour and were slated to record their debut record with famed producer Norman Petty in Clovis, New Mexico. Done On Bradstreet had opened a number of big shows in the past but Festival Express was without a doubt the biggest. Sharing the stage with The Band, Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead was a career highlight for any band. The Festival Express proved to be a great testing ground for Done On Bradstreet's original material as the band was well received by fans and fellow musicians alike. The next step was to record this music. Done On Bradstreet made the 2,000 km journey to Clovis just three weeks after the gig. Together they recorded six songs for their debut record under the guiding hand of Norman Petty. Unfortunately, a series of circumstances led to the band not hearing these recordings for 40 years. When the tape finally arrived, 40 years after the recording sessions, the band was thrilled to find that the music had stood the test of time. Done On Bradstreet now presents their debut recording, the Time Capsule.
