Road from Here to There
Don't Trust the Radio Folk. Rock. Bluegrass. Band History Over the past year, Don't Trust the Radio has successfully gained a stronghold in the Nashville area live music market. Because of their energetic live shows and a dedicated fanbase, Don't Trust the Radio was the winner of Budweiser's Battle of Nashvegas, an area wide battle of the bands featuring 27 different acts from as far away as Kentucky. In addition, the band has just released their first full-length album, featuring several special guest players. The band formed when two pairs of musicians met at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. Chance Meyer and Matt Clifft have been veterans of the Arkansas music since age 15, while Bryan Gross and Seth Carico have been involved in the Chattanooga area music scene since they were 15 years old also. For the past 7 years the two pairs worked on perfecting their craft as performers and songwriters as well. When it was time to make a career decision the four band members ended up together in the musically esteemed Nashville area. Combining solid musicianship and vocal abilities, Don't Trust the Radio continues to turn heads everywhere they play. The band hopes to continue creating their own blend of folk, bluegrass and rock for years to come. Mixing traditional influences with a modern sound, the band has created an easily accessible style of music all their own.
