DSF (Desif) Too
So two years after completing the first CD and learning much about the recording and processing equipment, a more polished second CD project is completed. More songs and less instrumental on this one. There are two tracks that were on the first CD that got redone, the feel and the presentation are a little different, the production got tighter and smoother. Through It All is about fantasies that many of us have, maybe not exactly the same ones, and hope. The Keys is kind of like a prayer, meditation, good for when your confused, it's one of my favorites I get confused, some times. My Babe And Me is a kind of mellow-scratch, mellow-scatch, etc. Love song. Then we have a country piece that could someday be the theme song for the good life state but we'll see. Doin' Somethin but not sure what it is, is something I can relate to occasionally, it's a shuffle piece. Somethin More Than Nothin sounds like a plan, mellow. Things So Fine is a country song about runnin into some gal and ending up together for a long time. It's Not Too Late is about attitudes and human conditions that are made worse by them, it's a reflective soft rock piece. Questions is a compilation of thoughts you might run into during or just after a close call country style. This Poet's Song was inspired by what the group Fleetwood Mac and esp. Stevie were putting out a few years back. I sent it off to her once for a birthday present no strings but it was cut off by public relations, I'm sure it was to avoid any misunderstanding. If you think it would be a good match drop one of them a line and suggest checking it out. You and I is a soft rock anthem about how life sometimes shows us the way if we are aware of it. Stop Look Listen Do you like rollycoasters, I sure do, hope you enjoy the ride. A rock jam. So Simple Too and Along the Way are the only songs included in the first CD that got redone on this one. The previous versions were recorded and mixed using a Teac 244 four track tape recorder and these second efforts were recorded digitally via Roland VS 880. Here you can see how songs can change and evolve from time to time. Been There And Gone is along the lines of Mashall Tucker country feel, it's about surviving one's youth, thank God. Faith Of Life is a mellow organ piece. On Down The Road was inspired by all the old friends that sometimes look you up, or visa versa and it never seems that anything is different, it's like friends forever, no matter. HOPE YOU ENJOY THE MUSIC and there's more to come.
