Dyed Emotions is a trio of musicians from Seattle dedicated to bringing new wave music back to the mainstream and breaking the cycle of repetitive, cloned punk rock. Dyed Emotions formed in summer of 1998 when Chris and Michael recruited Arn from his Connecticut band to join the fold. Although the band only knew each other through demo tapes, the chemistry worked and the band quickly grew into a performance ready machine. The bands first opportunity came just two months after forming when they were invited to open for The Fixx at The Fenix in Seattle. Soon the band had offers from other clubs in the area giving them the opportunity to hone their performance skills. Around this time the band entered the studio to begin recording their debut album while continuing to cultivate their modest following. The band took a break from recording to continue performing, opening for bands such as A Flock of Seagulls, Gene Loves Jezebel, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Black Atmosphere and Ebeling Hughes. Finally in October the band finished the recording and mixing of the project. To celebrate, the band booked two shows in Chris home state of Montana along with a string of shows in Seattle leading up to a private party on New Years Eve. Dyed Emotions debut release Aqua Pura is now available on CD. The eight-song release is a testament to the songwriting capabilties of the band members. Recorded and mixed in four separate sessions with the help of engineer Chris Sleight, Aqua Pura is breaking down the doors that confine the synth pop genre and exposing it to the world. The record has already received airplay on several northwest radio stations and has drawn fans from around the globe.
