Dylan is a singer/songwriter/lead guitarist living in the Philadelphia area. However, don't let the term singer/songwriter fool you. Dylan plays straight up alternative rock, owing more to Bob Mould, REM and The Killers than to his namesake Bob Dylan. Dylan is a veteran performer who rose to acclaim in the Philly area with his band Broken Jones in the late 90s and early 00s. The band, which featured Dylan's songwriting and vocals, sold numerous copies of it's debut CD "Better Days" and was featured on FM radio in Philly, Baltimore, Wilmington and Seattle, as well as college and digital radio. They played at numerous clubs throughout the Philadelphia region and toured to New York, Baltimore and Seattle. The demise of Broken Jones led Dylan into the studio with producer Derek Chafin, an ex-member of the Darrows and Xs and Os, in early 2006 to begin the process that would become the CD "Another Chapter". During the recording process, Dylan began performing as a solo performer as well as forming a new band. The new CD shows a maturing songwriter with songs that focus on a wide range of emotion from melancholy to optimistic all the while honing Dylan's powerful voice and unique modern rock sound. Dylan is also an accomplished blues/rock lead guitarist which further sets him apart from the legions of downtuned modern rock guitarists as is evidenced on his recordings and live shows. Dylan is currently playing regularly in the Philly area at top clubs including The Grape Street, The Tin Angel, World Café Live, and others and his CD has been played on WSTW FM in Wilmington and Graffiti HD Radio.
