I Don't Wanna
Elena Norde' Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Elena Norde' is an up and coming singer and songwriter who is about to show the world what a true Georgia Peach is. She is a multi-talented artist and her music ranges from R&B, Pop, to Gospel. She has been singing since the age of four when she received her first microphone for Christmas. Her mother and her Aunts used to sing back up for her Grandfather who was also a very talented singer. At an early age Elena and her mother used to sing duets at family functions and it no longer became a hobby, it turned into a passion and a dream to fulfill. By the age of fourteen Elena auditioned for a Christian Girls group at her church. A couple of days later she received a call saying that she had been chosen to be apart of the group, Horizon. For two years Elena sang and recorded in the group Horizon and they produced a CD and went on Tour. After being in Horizon, Elena realized even more how much she wanted to be in the music industry. In 2002, Horizon split up due to management issues, but Elena was still determined to pursue her singing career. At the age of 16 she started to collaborate with local rap groups and aspiring producers to gain exposure and really find herself in music. She would come up with catchy hooks and started to gain a lot of credibility from her peers. While in high school, Elena would sing the National Anthem at all of her high school functions and by senior year she had her school playing her songs on the intercom in the hallways. She even performed at her senior prom and was voted "most likely to get a record deal" in her yearbook. In 2004, Elena Attended Georgia Southern University and quickly became known on campus as the girl who could sing. Soon enough, Elena was being asked to perform at many school functions as the intermission act or the opening act. But, by the end of 2005 is where she received her first real break. While in High school, Elena had worked with an aspiring producer by the name of Bernard "Lil' Nard" Rosser and during this time he had just started working for Grand Hustle. Elena ran into him during her Christmas break and he immediately invited her to the studio. A few days later at a Grand Hustle Christmas party, Elena met Big Kuntry King, a well known Southern Rapper, who was really starting to get a buzz. He invited her to sing on one of his songs "Cocaine", just to get a feel of her voice, but he liked it so much that he kept her in the song and within a couple months the song was on his new anticipated mix tape. Since then, Elena has worked with other artists such as RL from NEXT, J Holiday, and Carl Thomasjust to name a few. In June of 2007 Elena auditioned for Ne-yo's "Search for the next big star" competition. She made it in the top 20 out of over 500 people who auditioned. Currently Elena is working on her own CD and writing for other aspiring artists. With her determination, drive and talent, we will be seeing a lot more of Elena Norde'.
