Beyond her eight original songs on Trip, Spies has written more than 50 other songs. She has performed with Terre Roche (the Roches) at the Bottom Line and Princeton University and with her band at the Granite Resort, CB's Gallery, Baby Jupiter, Living Room, Border's Books & Music, the Elbow Room, Downtime, New Music Café, the Sidewalk Café, and High Street Roadhouse. Spies also has performed with the Carolling Carollers, the noted a cappella group.
