European World of Bluegrass 2006 / Various
46 bands from Europe, Canada, and the USA traveled to the little town of Voorthuizen in The Netherlands to showcase on May 25 - 27, at the 9th annual European World of Bluegrass convention. This selection of "live" recorded tracks, again masterfully selected and sequenced by Liz Meyer, reflects the wide range of bluegrass styles performed during this festival. Composition here vary from traditional to John Hartford, and from Bill Monroe to Steve Goodman. 10 tracks are composed by the performing groups, as Lonesome Mounteneers from Sweden, Meantime from Slovakia, Bean Sprouts from The Netherlands, the Looping Brothers from Germany, The Gordons, and Chris Jones & The Night Drivers from the USA, Petr Brandejs, Goodwill, and Kreni from the Czech Republic.
