Fishers of Men
EYESUPONUS has been together for nearly 4 years and we just released our debut album in August 2008. We are based out of beautiful Georgetown and Versailles, Kentucky, USA. The main reason for our ministry is to reach the lost and spread the word about Jesus Christ. Our lead guitarist, Chris Simpson, likes to say, "We don't have fans - we have friends". How true! We love receiving calls from our friends telling us that they have been saved, or how much they enjoyed the show. Our fan support means so much - it's priceless! Andrew Joyce rocks out on the bass guitar. He says that being able to worship all the time is very rewarding. We may touch the crowds with our songs, but at the same time, our "friends" are sending joy back to us. There's nothing like being in joyful service to the Lord. Christopher Cool, our lead singer, often says, "If God can love me and forgive me, then he has a place for you, too". None of us deserve the love He gives, and we're so thankful for His mercy. Eric Drane is the drummer for the band. Also known as the "Human Metronome", Eric likes to spread the word about Jesus through song, and to let people know that the band members are ordinary, undeserving people. "We don't know why God chose us to bring people to Him in this way, but He did, and that's what we're out there doing." Since we've been together, we've performed for crowds ranging from just a few people to 18,000. We've played with various groups, such as 7eventh Time Down, ilia, Brightgray, CrossWorthy, Words in Red, Without Form, Justin Harris, SlawDog, Megan Redman, Ben Brown, The Drifters, and an Elvis impersonator. We regularly perform at churches, Christian clubs, coffee shops, and youth rallies. We've also had one tour (in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia) and two vans. Hopefully this second van will last a little longer!
