In this watered-down Rap game, Fanatix serve it up straight... No chaser The Fanatix-two rappers hailing from Northern California's East Bay- are the first artists on the Imperial West imprint. MC's Hudathawt? and Kwyitaskep grew up in East Oakland, raised in homes where music, taking care of business, and creative endeavors were facts of life. Friends since childhood, they've come of age, still bound by shared dreams, experiences, and unbridled talent- to collaborate artistically and make serious music for their indie label, Imperial West. The duo has been destined from the beginning to perfect a genre that's a raw mix of aggressive delivery with an underground edge and polished rhymes with crossover potential. They have defied the rules by becoming the architects of a sound they call '9 to 5 rhymin'- a soundtrack to 'real life' in the hood. With influcences from gangsta rap, to underground hip hop and even rock n roll, the Fanatix are expanding the bounderies of music beyond North America. With their first effort, the Fanatix released SINSICKNATION: DA EP, which created buzz throughout Northern California. A fixture in many San Francisco/ Bay Area venues, the Fanatix developed a swagger, unmatched on stage, while strategically building a sizable loyal fan base through aggressive street and internet promotion. Their new album, GHETTO EYEZ, has production from many of the Bay Area's best underground producers such as veterans like TD Camp (Hella Records), Otayo Dubb, C-Level, and Wookie Nelson as well as up-and-coming producers like Young Cel. Features include the Co-Deez, the Attik and various artist in the Imperial West family. They have received airplay at local radio stations like KPFA, KPOO and WILD 94.9fm.
