Paddy's Day Parade EP
The Father Teds are a U.K. based Irish band much admired for their world-class musicianship and their ability to put on a great show. 'Paddy's Day Parade', their new four track EP, features both original and traditional Irish material played to the highest standard. The title track, written by lead singer Rich McMahon, is inspired by real events, and tells the story of a band overcoming bad weather and a broken down trailer to entertain the thousands of people gathered in their home town for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The song has enjoyed regular plays on U.K. and Irish radio, and has received interest from parade organizers in the U.S.A and Australia. It is accompanied on the CD by a poignant rendition of traditional ballad 'She Moved Through the Fair', a set of lively tunes collectively entitled 'Rambling Pitchfork' and a rousing version of the popular classic 'Whiskey in the Jar'. The EP displays The Father Teds' versatility and awareness of their rich musical inheritance, as well as a readiness to add to that tradition. If you are a lover of Celtic, Folk, Roots or Country music, or simply love a good tune, 'Paddy's Day Parade' is the one for you.
