Miles & Miles
Fiona Hayward Fiona Hayward as a little girl, grew up on a farm in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia. The family then moved to Emerald in Central Queensland where she has resided for the last eighteen years. Having grown up in a family where music played a very significant role, Fiona's songs reflect her country upbringing on sheep and wheat properties in both NSW and QLD. She has also spent some time working on a large station in the Northern Territory. Having an agricultural background has given her many interesting topics to write and sing about. As music has never been a foreign topic in her home over the years, this has given her a greater opportunity to combine both her agricultural lifestyle and the enjoyment of country music together. Currently living in Emerald, QLD, Fiona writes and sings her own original work, which combines her love of both gospel and country music themed songs, from her background here in Australia. This was followed by the brand new creation of her very own CD called Miles and Miles, which was released in 2005 This CD comprises of 10 songs, 8 of which are her own compositions. Her songs are enjoyed by many people everywhere, bringing much pleasure and comfort to those who listen: I'm sure you will find this too. Not surprisingly, 30th September 2006 saw Fiona win The Luke Newland New Talent Award at the ACRA Awards held in Manilla NSW. The ACRA (Australian Country Recording Awards) awards are voted for by the Country Radio Presenters.
