Born in San Juan Puerto Rico, began classical guitar studies with professor Eduardo Flores at age 7. Later he went to specialized public school 'Escuela Libre de Música' and start playing piano in small ensembles. Majoring music education at Inter American University, began playing with numerous salsa bands like Elías Lopés & Co. Among others. Played for local pop artists like Dagmar, Aldo Matta, Lucecita, Ednita, till he was hired to lead the first band ever to play with famous group Menudo in 1985. With Menudo, he toured the U.S. cities and 22 cities around Brazil. Also toured many countries around Europe as keyboard player for Willie Colón. Worked for a while as Staff Producer at Alfa Recordings and Mezza Lunna Studios doing lots of today's recognizable jingles. After that he began composing and preparing material for the hit debut album 'Family Portraits' and launching his solo career as a latin-jazz piano player. At the time of the 8th Edition of the Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival, he started producing the follow up record 'Yo Interior' which will be available soon. In this recording Franky gives the listener a variety of flavors, from poetic composing like Franky's own Compasion 'Compassion' to explosive horn arrangements like the big band version of Jobim's Chega de Saudade 'No more Blues'. Franky's passion for jazz has make him collaborate with two excellent local musicians in a new project called Metrópoli. A jazz-trio recording venture which will include original music along with arrangement of all time favorite standards. Franky is still working in the advertising world with successfully produced jingles for brand names like; Budweiser, TLD (local distance co.), Coca Cola, Coors, etc.
