Hand of the Lord Is Upon Me
Frederick Taylor, better known as "Fred," is a native of Folsom, Louisiana, born the eldest of two. Fred is a young man filled with excitement, energy and the Holy Ghost. He began developing his musical gift at a very young age under the guidance of his grandfather, who himself was a gifted singer. At the age of eleven he began directing his church youth choir. By the age of 14 he was singing and directing for several churches in area as well as throughout surrounding cities and states. He attended Jackson State University in Jackson, MS for one year under a vocal scholarship. And in 1998 he transferred to Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in December 2002. On July 6, 2002, Fred married his friend and soul mate, Adriona L. Perkins and they have three beautiful children: Cheyenne Amira, Cavin LaMarque Taylor, and Carringen Anyce Taylor. Currently Fred is an associate Minister and the Worship Leader at Midway Church in Folsom, La. where he loves the work, the people, and the ministry. Fred enjoys serving God through music and would like to see everyone moved by it's awesome power. Outside of his few accomplishments Fred strives to live by a simple motto: 'A servant's reward lies within the service he faithfully gives'. Yet as the Apostle Paul, in 2 Timothy 1, I am a prisoner unashamed of the testimony of the Lord... a partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. Lord I thank you for the gift with the anointing to serve. I am humbled to be chosen to minister through the Word, song, and testimony.
