Places Where We Go
Fritterfratter began his musical career by learning to play the saxophone and after a few years of studying it in his home town of south London he began playing in bands. It was not long before he developed an interest in computers and sequencing which led him to discover electronica music. This is when he started writing music for himself along with writing for the bands in which he played. After years of gigging in bands such as Almighty Dread, Doctors of dub and others, where he played both acoustic and electronic instruments, Paul Micah-aka Fritterfratter produced a sound that is quite eclectic in nature resulting in a style that is hard to pin down to any one form of music. You can hear this fusion of sounds on his latest album which incorporates some of his influences such as jazz, dub and ambient music, to name but a few. Fritterfrater still plays live, but now devotes most of his time to working in the studio on his own material as well as collaborating with other artists.
