The loss of the easy to use VoiP (BF2, BF2142) is a real downer. A lot of the enjoyment was in talking to fellow players during the game. I know you can use Teamspeak but...
Some of the player classes have taken a hit. The sniper with the "glass glare" is very annoying. What is the point of getting into a good HIDDEN location if your location is given away all the time? Thankfully the other classes are great to play.
Punkbuster is not keeping up with the cheats. I guess this is/will be a problem for all popular online games...
The pros outweigh the cons.
Great graphics with settings so good I just want to go on a tour! If you can, take a chopper and cruise some of the battle fields. I like the way some old maps have been revised with more detail.
The sounds of the different weapons and vehicles have all been updated to add to the immersion.
I judge my online experience by my "time dilation factor". That is, how much time passes before I notice. A simple session can stretch to hours before you know it!

Wow, does a First Person Shooter get any better than this? The graphics are just so realistic, and that on our AMD dualcore + Radeon HD 5770.
The gameplay is very challenging and you need to be thinking on your feet -so to speak- all the time, especially online. The adrenaline rush is addictive. I have to stop writing so I can go back playing!
An absolute must for all yea FPS gamers!

Battlefield 3 is the best looking FPS on PC IMO. I much prefer it than MW3 and no, I'm not a total BF fanboy.
I definitely recommend any FPS player or any MW fan to take a look at BF3 as it really is an outstandingly beautiful game.
Even though the SP campaign is quite short, it's the multiplayer you'll return to again and again months down the track!
