Entrance to Core 8
Geiger are a 4-piece rock band from Warrington, Cheshire with musical influences ranging from Black Sabbath, Queen and Iron Maiden to R.E.M., Depeche Mode and Counting Crows. Geiger was formed in Leigh, Lancashire in 1995 and over the next 3 years, slowly began to build a loyal fan base, playing regular gigs in Wigan and Leigh. In August 2000, they recorded a 3-track E.P. entitled \'Here\'s A Question For Andrea Rossa...\'. The E.P. was positively received by fans and venues alike and the band began to broaden their catchment area playing in various Liverpool and Warrington pubs. In December of that same year, Geiger returned to Cavalier Studios to record \'Vimintosis\'. By now they were a regular act in the pubs and clubs of Warrington and had even secured a headline gig at The Cavern Club in Liverpool. In July 2003, they recorded \'The Emu Face Experience\'. Greater time was devoted to the production and mixing of the E.P., resulting in a final product which has attracted attention wherever it is played. In October 2004, Geiger recorded their 4th E.P., \'Bishop\'s Karaoke Academy\', at Frog Studios, Warrington. In 2007, the band recorded 10 brand new songs for their debut album \'Entrance To Core 8\', released in May 2008.
