Do You Hear
Sophia: My story Growing up I always knew I was different. I was unique and individual in every way because I would sit and listen to music for hours on end. Music was my life and my soul. It moved me in so many ways. I would sit and press any key on a piano, and the sound would be so amazing to my ears...every sound was magical. It took me on a magical journey to the sounds of music. I must have been about 3 years old when I first heard a really great electronica track...and from then on I was always inspired by music. My Dad was the one who first got me interested in music...all the time he would play songs by all types of different artists, mostly electronica, and I sort of grew up with that style. When I was ten years old and first got my own keyboard, I would spend hours everyday composing on it and making my own music. I didn't know anything about music...I had never been taught keys or chords. So I managed to remember all the special "symbols" I used for over 70 songs I created on my keyboard. I played the songs everyday singing along with it so I remembered and never forgot. Sadly now I have forgotten some of the songs because I don't use my keyboard as much now, it's mostly computer technology. I have probably lost about 30% of the songs I composed. But things have changed dramatically, and I never knew I would end up where I am now. This has been an incredible experience for me at 14 years to produce a worldwide CD already. I am so grateful to Louis (Granddaddy Mack) who has helped and stretched me in my music (and ICT skills!) I would also like to thank family and friends for being supportive. But Louis, Louis is the one who has had the patience, generosity and kindness to help me. I thank him so very much for his time and efforts. He didn't have to help me, but he did. So to Louis and everyone else behind the scenes at GDM Music Studio, thank you for everything, you have truly enriched and changed my life. Louis: Is A multi-talented, extremely versatile individual that spends every extra minute of everyday developing, creating, composing and thinking music. Louis has been around music since the age of 4. A self-taught, disciplined person that gives 150 % when it comes to his second love, music. I have seen him play the keyboards and at the same time pick up the flute, guitar, trumpet or any other instrument, to fill in the melody. He programs the drum machine before the piece starts and just like magic all the breaks, fills, verses are right there, on time and in sequence. I am still trying to figure how he does it. He has shown no boundaries as to the type of music he plays, but prefers jazz. All types of jazz, smooth, acid, straight ahead, fusion, dance, funk. I don't think there is anyone today that is more dedicated to accomplishing the level of talent this man has shown. He has been a member of Acidplanet.com since 2004 where he has a growing following and is a favorite on many other artists websites. Some of the accolades were: 'Amazing, chillin work', from 'Violent Public Disorder','Mellow and soulful form, 'Nehama', 'Excellent Song' from 'Electric Spirit', 'Great Composition', 'The Instrumentation quality is superb' 'You get a ten from me for this.' 'Great work'.
