Thank you for taking your time to share music with us ... "what a long strange trip it has been." We felt that ROADS was the perfect title for our debut CD. Life is all about the many roads that we travel and the lessons along the way. Our songs are inspired by real life and the way it felt to us at that time. It is a rare privilege to really connect with someone musically. Fortunately in our marriage ... it is a regular thing. It is not a unique concept to blend celtic harp and guitar, however Peggy's contemporary style on the harp adds the feel and sound of a second guitar in harp form. The beauty of the harp and acoustic guitar combined with Gregory's soulful voice and lyrics make this CD a troubadour's story. A few notes about the original songs on our CD ROADS ... Another Sunrise -- was inspired by the death of Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter) and written for his wife or anyone with a great loss. We just imagined the sun rising as she found herself sitting in a chair realizing that she must have been lost in thought all night and that the sunrise had caught her by surprise once again. That's My Baby - was inspired by my wife Peggy. I just wanted to let everyone know how great she is. Anything -- is about true friendship and unconditional love. My wife and I had been dating about a month (yes, it was love at first site) when she told me that she might have a serious health issue to face. I wrote this song on the way to rehearsal knowing that I would do anything for this lovely soul. Morning Glories - is about being grateful for the simplest of things. During my chemotherapy I was so ill, and when I opened my kitchen window blinds there were my beautiful morning glories looking like blue trumpets in the light and my spirits were lifted. Dark Day Comin -- is a message that life involves good cards and bad cards, and realistically we don't always get a warning when a storm is coming. And come they will. Roads - is the title track on our CD inspired by our karmic journey down the many roads of life and the choices we make. Musta Dreamed - is about being used and lied to. Sometimes people can paint a really pretty picture to get what they want, but everything looks different in the morning light. Broken Butterfly - I had a brown-spot Dalmatian named Chip for fourteen years. And when he was dying, there was nothing I could do to stop it. During my cancer treatment, I had to accept the fact that there may not be anything that could be done for me as well. This song is the acceptance of that.. Time Is Up - is about when someone decides time is up and you thought you had more time. Iceberg - The pain of getting over someone is just like an iceberg ... there is more to it than meets the eye. SEE YOU DOWN THE ROAD.
