It is 2010, and The Groove Noodles have landed. This CD accompanies 'Me Oui', their 2010 debut CD. On this short EP filled with three cover tunes, The Groove Noodles have fun with new funk textures on these classics. On Sly and the Family Stone's 'High on You', bassist Ed Garnero funks the verse melody in the style of Marcus Miller, while the chorus is sung by soulful Sarah Keller. Stevie Wonder's 'You Haven't Done Nuthin' is given a new twist towards the end: a whole new funk part emphasizing 'Do something for me!'. Lastly, Aretha Franklin's version of 'Baby I Love You' is augmented with a Tower of Power style outro. Turn these tunes up at a party and dancing is guaranteed, period!
