THE GUILLOTINE Comprised of Block, Pip, Lopeeze and Loke, The Guillotine is a collaboration of 4 of the truest rappers to come from the Sunshine State a.k.a. The Gunshine State. The 4 conveys the realities of the hard knock life in a way that commands the attention and respect of listeners. 'We come with that street gangsta rap. We got a lil something for everybody' says Lopeeze, who was raised in Manatee County alongside his younger brother Loke. When it comes to their sound, it is a synergy of styles that forms their uniqueness. Influences by South Movement Period, Lopeeze represents the epitome of southern rap. Loke follows suit. Block comes at them at all angles and Pip just bring that forth element to the group. Together The Guillotine delivers a flawless performance each time they step in the booth. Their current single 'Dope Boy Fresh' is best described as a hardcore ballad for the the streets. It's syrupy hook coupled with top notch production is quicky making it's way through Florida's club scene. 'I remember one time we were performing 'Dope Boy Fresh' Loke recalls,I looked at the crowed and they knew all the words. That was when I knew we had a hit.' Production credit for the long belongs to Lewis Bryant from Grooveland Studio. The Guillotine is crerrently crafting their next major single with the help of Slip N Slide's Deuce Poppi. 'Animosity' promises to open the eyes and ears of not only their audience, but also the industry. The Guillotine isrepresented by OneCo Records an independent label established in 2005 OneCo's CEO Reggie Jackson, Better know as Lil One, set out to create a company that serve the artists best interests. Prior to signing with OneCo, members of the group had several had experiences with their previous labels. The Guillotine never strayed from their goals. They turned to their long time friend/brother Reggie for support and stability. Reggie says, 'I recongnized their talent, I saw they were the new era in rap music. I wanted to turn myself around from the street life and at the same time help them get established.' Once the members aligned themselves with OneCo, things started falling in place. They have shared the stage with several big names. With a strong promotional plan in place, they are ready to release their debut album. Each artist is also working on solo material. When asked what the future holds for The Guillotine and OneCo Records, Reggie says, 'We're creating an empire the next Bad Boy, Cash Money, Death Row. We're the new trend.'
