Who's Gonna Fly Their Flags
Dedication The Hartland Band would like to dedicate this song to all of the U.S. vets who served this country in any and every capacity, throughout the two hundred plus years of it's history. This song came together because of a real life experience. The flags were bought at an estate sale. It occurred to me that there was no one left in the world to value them, or the sacrifice that earned them. This saddened me very much. I spent a couple of days thinking about the flags. Then one day while I was at work, the words came at me like a flood. The story developed a life of it's own. In twenty minutes, there it was! I was really shook up. Tears were running down my face. I couldn't go back to work for a while. Wow, it was really weird! With help from my brother Al, Bob Shepard and Charlie Hetrick, the melody and music were developed. The hardest part about recording or performing this song, is keeping the tears from running down my darn face when I do it. Fact! We are presenting this CD as a single, because we believe it stands well alone. The signatures on this CD are authentic, and signed one at a time exclusively for this limited edition. Thanks Sincerely, Buddy m. Hart PS: If you have a flag in your possession from a beloved Veteran, please, take it out of it's case and fly it in their memory. The Hartland Band flies one of our flags at every gig!
