Our Story So Far... Henway as it exists today came into being in early 2002, but the band wasn't so much formed as it was grown. Individuals and pairs of artists who were already making music on their own in 2001 found each other, shared ideas, and just generally started having a good time. Some turnover was inevitable but the band held together and evolved further as new faces joined the fold, until what finally emerged from the basement in late 2002 was a broad and eclectic mix of influences, from R.E.M. to Led Zeppelin to the Beatles, from Johnny Cash to Lenny Kravitz. Featuring solid songwriting from every member of the band, the disk fuses their varied influences into a cohesive whole, a sonic journey from anger to wonder, from disillusionment to hope as each song flows to the next. At a time when too many albums seem to contain a dozen versions of the same song, Unreel offers something different. Released just in time for the holidays, the disk has begun making it's way into CD players around Toronto and beyond, and so the word continues to spread...
