Carter Avenue Project
Band Hero for Nothing is a five-piece original rock act, formed in January of 2002. It's members have been in and out of cover bands and original projects together for the better part of a decade, with the exception of guitarist Dave Kiyak, who auditioned and joined the band in early 2005. Over the past two years, they've tallied close to 100 shows at venues such as Club 218, Grape Street Philadelphia, and Asbury Park's legendary Saint. Their music has been played on 89.7 WGLS FM (Rowan University Radio) and several Internet radio stations, including Grape Street Radio and scrubradio.com. They've been featured as up-and-coming artists to watch in both the Asbury Park Press (7/1/05) and The Courier-Post (8/26/05). Hero for Nothing is influenced and inspired by: Led Zeppelin, U2, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, WOP, STP, The Beatles, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Folds Five, Wilco, Coldplay and Sublime.
