No Space No Time
The Highlows hail from Hobart, Tasmania.....in the bottom right hand part of Australia. The Highlows used to be called \'Sir Veto\' but after a rather bad run with management contracts, lawyers, pear shaped releases and general shitty luck they decided a change was needed. But this was much more than just a change in name. The music has taken a definitive left turn as have all the members of the band. Some of our past achievements include supporting international acts such as the tea party, Silverchair and many high profile Australian groups such as Grinspoon, Powderfinger, Killing Heidi, Alex Lloyd and Cold Chisel to name a few. In 2003 the band won JJJ Unearthed with it's song \'Underneath the Burning Sun\' and received high rotation airplay nationally. In 2005 we walked away with the \'Amplified\' major award for most Outstanding Tasmanian band. Since then we have been steadily recording and songwriting in abundance. We are now ready to release our third full length album. Over one hundred songs have been culled down to just 14 in order to make it happen. We have kept our melodic rock roots but are now blasting out an edgier faster and generally more frantic no nonsense sound!
