"The Humbles provide an impeccable balance between the music and the message, and the upbeat tone counters the emotional lyrics that permeate the album." James Lee/THE JOURNAL "Whether the band is trying to make a philosophical statement with songs such as "Life Goes On" and the title track, or just attempting to play some good music, it is clear that this band has a clear view of where it is and where is wants to be." Devin Grant/THE POST & COURIER 'Having trouble getting out of bed in the morning? Concerned and anxious about the future? Who isn't! The Humbles third CD, Goin' Down, is a concept album for the times. See the motivation behind each song below!' Derrick Horres/The Humbles Goin' Down: Depressed, tired, struggling to make it through the day. Me too! I believe the world is on a collision course with disaster. Is there hope for the future? Listen to the song and hear my answer and maybe yours! In My Mind: At night lying in my bed, I feel safe. I am safe inside myself, inside my mind. No one can touch me there. I can think what I want, dream what I want, imagine what I want. Lifes Goes On: One moment everything is great! The next your in serious trouble! You know what I mean! But no matter how bad things get, it can always get worse! Life goes on with or without us, so we might as well make the best of it! Sleep: Are you just going through the motions? Is life beating you to a pulp? Stop! Smell the roses! Nature is calling: the birds, the trees, the flowers and the bees! Stop and take a look at the beauty around you! Don't sleep through another day! It's Really True: What do I really think matters? What makes life worth living. You got it! Love! Without it we are all doomed! So take the time to love and be loved! If you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband or wife, get a pet! And, if you do, get one anyway! I Say, I Say I Do: Have someone oversees serving in the military. Iraq maybe? This song is for you! They are probably looking at your picture, thinking or you, and I will bet he/she can't wait to get home to you! I am talking from experience on this one! I would love to hear from you! E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your comments. Derrick Horres/The Humbles.
