The Huntington Piano Trio was founded in Boston in 1995 by pianist, Miles Goldberg and violinist, Blanka Bednarz to increase audience awareness and appreciation for the vast specrum of music written for the unique combination of piano, violin and cello. This recording is 'distinguished by some fine playing and for it's inclusion of the rarely heard Korngold Trio plus the American premier performance of an engaging Trio composed in 1987 by Romauld Twardowski, who supplied the ensemble with the music and with supplemental recommendations concerning it's performance' (FanFare Magazine). Pianist,Miles Goldberg, grew up in Delaware where he started playing the piano by age four. He studied with Harold Zabrack and upon reaching college age continued his studies with Mr. Z. at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. He then won a scholarship to travel to Germany to study with Robert Levin in Freiburg. He received his master's at the Eastman School of Music where he studied with fortepianist, Malcolm Bilson. He has by now earned his doctorate at Boston University and is on staff as an accompanist to singers, violinists, and cellists.
