In Liars We Trust
In Liars We Trust is our outlet to express how we feel about the current state of affairs through music. Our hope is to touch and give thought to what is going on in our world. In the process, hopefully learn, educate, and come together with others who also see the need to help change our world to make it a better place for all people. What started as a passion for change, Josi and FossFace began working on a political record with a punk vibe. Soon it took on a life of it's own. Excited about the material, they enlisted a guest appearance by Harry Drumdini (formerly of the Cramps) on drums, and 5 different bassists (including members of T.A.Tu and Piss Ant) to give a unique sound to each song. A political punk band? Maybe. Punk rock varies. Today everything is considered punk. In Liars We Trust has been called punk, and the sound of the music is directly influenced by The Dead Boys and the message is comparable to UK socially conscious punk groups such as Crass, Subhumans, Vice Squad and Conflict. If a punk attitude is being true to who you are, saying what you believe, and not caring what others think of your take, then punk they are, with political and social rants as topics. "The material writes itself. If you dare to watch the news, or the version that is broadcasted to the masses in America, it's easy to feel the need to express yourself. For me it's through music." - FossFace The crude mix on this record is a conscious choice for effect. If you want a pretty record, buy a teen idol record.
