J. K. Allen was born and raised in upstate New York. He was introduced to the church at an early age by his Mother 'Edith Lamb' the Apostolic Refuge Church of Christ. She instilled in her son the Love of God, and the power of faith and prayer. In his younger years, he grew strong in his faith as he matured into manhood. He served his country as a career soldier in the U. S. Army and, after 22 years, retired honorably as a Master Sergeant. During his military career, he continued to study and to praise the Lord. After his service, he became an ordained minister. J. K. Allen's sermons are inspiring and uplifting for the congregations he serves. Throughout the years he has turned his musical ability (passed on to him by his father, an accomplished jazz musician, and his grand father, a Baptist minster) into another vehicle of expression: song. Using his lifelong love for music, J. K. Allen has taken his message of faith and love, and has produced his first Gospel CD, 'Perfect Sacrifice.' Vision for his Music: J.K Allen feels that these songs of Faith and Love they will inspire and remind us of 'What a Mighty God We Serve'.
