Anyone who thinks about the Brandenburg Concerto everything had already been said, sees itself contradicted by a successful re-recording. Even someone who thinks that he actually got to hear historically accurate instruments the concerts always, is taught by this recording better. As a rule, namely, the parts of the trumpets and horns are indeed played on instruments without valves and valves, but these have a modern aid: holes that facilitate the game of tricky games immensely. For it's inclusion on Accent used Sigiswald Kuijken pure natural instruments without these modern auxiliary holes, as it not only has the courage for this, but also the appropriate musicians for this venture at it's disposal. The result is convincing all around and once again underlines the artistic quality Kuijken and his traditional ensemble La Petite Bande.
