Jacqueline McCray, a Singer/Songwriter from the Philadelphia Metropolitan area, musical styles includes R&B Gospel, Inspirational, Praise, Blues/Rock and Urban Gospel. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1967, she is the middle child from a talented family of seven. A little more than a year after she was born, her mother moved to Lakewood, New Jersey. It was there that her mother accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal savior and changed the direction of her children's lives. By age four, her mother started a group with the four oldest children. During this time, Jacqueline performed backup to her older siblings and performed at different churches. It wasn't long before her gift of writing manifested. She wrote her first song by age ten and was bold enough to tap a few keys on the organ while her siblings performed. As time passed, she continued to sing with school choirs. This kept the love of music in her heart. By high school, one of her teachers always preached to his students how they can do anything if they stay positive. He called it P.M.A (Positive Mental Attitude).' Eventually, this inspired her to write a song with the same title and message. She performed it at the high school talent show but lost. However, she never lost hope. Now, nineteen years later, Jacqueline has resurrected P.M.A (Positive Mental Attitude) as the title of her debut solo album. But, this time she hopes to inspire people to seek God's help to accomplish their dreams. But, more importantly, seek the Kingdom of God first.
