James Schroeder Compositions
Born in Normal, Illinois Jim Schroeder started percussion studies with John Noonan until his retirement in the mid 1960's. He then continued his studies with Roy C. Knapp and Phil Stanger at Franks Drum Shop in Chicago Illinois. His compositions include Concertos for Horn, Trombone, Piano, and Marimba(4). Solo pieces with Orchestral accompaniment: Flute, Oboe, Woodwind Quintet, Xylophone, Vibes, Marimba, Multiple percussion and French Horn. Solo pieces for Oboe, Pipe Organ, Vibes, a Cello trio and various pieces for Orchestra.
