Jami Ross, sixteen year old singer/actress from Mentor, Ohio was recently nominated "Best Solo Artist" for The 2006 Cleveland Music Awards. Jami has released her first album, "Figure Me Out," and recently recorded her new single "Situation." Jami's original pop/rock songs, written by her and Arrive at Eleven recording artist Matthew James Murphy, touch kids, teens, and young adults with songs that are genuine and truthful to Jami's life experiences. Past performances include opening for Jewel & Rob Thomas at Blossom Music Center, Aly & AJ at Tower City Amphitheater,The House of Blues, Tops Great American Rib Cook Off (Sponsored by Live Nation), Gwen Stefani's Post Concert Party, EJ Thomas Music Hall (University of Akron), Kent State University and The Hard Rock Café to name a few. Performances this summer include headlining the 2006 Kidsfest at Cleveland's Tower City Amphitheater, Showcasing at The 2006 CMJ Rock Hall Music Fest, performing at the nationally known Musikfest Festival in Bethlehem, PA and The 2006 Midwest Music Summit in Indianapolis, In. as well as regional tours with Plunge (Columbia Records) and Project Jones (Nashville). Jami has appeared in over forty films, television shows and theatrical performances including commercials for Nickelodeon and Homeland Security. Jami has appeared recently on Fox 8 News and WKYC Channel 3 Morning Shows. Jami is represented by Abrams Artists Agency (TV/Commercial) and Craig Wyckoff Agency (Motion Picture/Film) in Los Angeles, California. Before Jami and her band got started she learned to love the stage through musical theater. Some of her favorite roles she has played are, Zenita in "Music Man," Chiffon in "Little Shop of Horrors," and Velma in "West Side Story."
