Clinch Mountain Banjo: A Tribute to the Master Dr.
Jarrod Church has been playing on the bluegrass circuit for several years now. He has toured with several local groups in, and around his native Dickenson County Virginia. Dickenson County is also the home of the legendary, Dr. Ralph Stanley. Jarod had idolized the great musician for many years, and had always wanted to be part of his band, the Clinch Mountain Boys. He finally got his chance to audition in early 2005. Later that year, he found himself filling in on an appearance at the World Famous Grand Ole Opry, in Nashville Tennessee. Jarrod has played several shows with the band since. He continues to travel with the band playing when the need arises. Together with Producer, and Stanley guitarist James Alan Shelton, This album was recorded earlier this year. With Stanley's blessing, Jarrod added Stanley fiddler Dewey Brown, with Al Domingue filling the Bass chair. This album promises hours upon hours of toe tapping, great feeling music.
