Award-winning singer/songwriter Jeff Venables is the former frontman of the New York City trio The Regressives, which Bill Ribas of NYRock.com heralded as "artists in the truest sense of the word." The Miracle Vending Machine received airplay at 286 college radio stations nationally, including several #1 chart positions. Venables toured the east coast, playing live at radio stations and clubs in NY, NJ, MA, RI, PA, and CT. At home, he regularly booked shows at legendary NYC clubs CBGB, Continental, Sidewalk Café, Under Acme, Café a-Go-Go/Elbow Room, and Don Hill's. He won First Prize in the Modern/Alternative category (and Second Place overall) of The Songwriters' Association of Washington Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, in which he was one of 1,330 applicants. Now based in Los Angeles, Jeff has written and performed musical scores for documentaries, plays, and broadcast television, including an episode of MTV's Choose or Lose that was inducted into the CTAM Hall of Fame.
