Jessica Caterina's passion for music and desire to sing were manifested in her youth. A native of New York City, Jessica performed in choral groups, competed in talent shows and at the age of thirteen, was accepted into the famed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and the Performing Arts. Jessica attended Bennington College, where she studied theatre and writing. At Bennington, Jessica's poetry evolved into song lyrics and she began collaborating with composer Farid Nassif. At the age of nineteen, while performing in Los Angeles, Jessica was discovered by producer and engineer George Landress (No Doubt, Laura Nyro). Landress recorded a five-song demo with Jessica and Farid, who formed 'Odilemma.' They were soon performing regularly in Los Angeles, and their demo track 'Star Motel,' received airplay on popular radio station Star 98.7. Since leaving Odilemma, Jessica has worked with legendary music manager and promoter Sid Bernstein (The Beatles), recording artist and producer Russell Howard (Jay-Z, Mya), and songwriter/guitarist Mark Goldenberg (Jackson Browne, Natalie Imbruglia). Jessica has just completed a five-song EP with George Landress, 'Only When,' blending her own insightful and poetic lyrics with his sophisticated musical compositions. She is also currently collaborating with LA-based music producer Adam Malka on a unique blend of hip-hop, folk and electronica.
