Product Notes

Jim Dilley the person, the professional, the entertainer . . . Having just released his latest CD titled 'CROSS MY HEART' recorded with the amazing JORDANAIRES in NASHVILLE, Jim has reached a professional high. Now promoting his new Country CD of all original songs through personal appearances at various area events including performances at Pasadena Town Square Mall, Gallery Furniture and most recently his CD Release Party held . Previous CD's include a Christmas a Gospel and an ELVIS Tribute CD, recorded under the independent Triumph Record Label. Future plans include a second Gospel album which will include original songs, as well as a number of Traditional songs. Raised in Collinsville, Oklahoma, a small town near his birth-town of Tulsa, Jim was very active and it was often said that he would either become a 'Preacher or a Politician'. However to this day he doesn't understand the meaning behind that! Jim began singing at his hometown Church, Collinsville Church of Christ, where he learned to sing and attributes his love of singing to this experience. Singing at every possible opportunity, Jim performed anywhere from talent shows to the local retirement home. His love for singing growing with each performance. Through his performances, Jim quickly realized that it was more than just the music that makes the entertainer . . . it's the person behind the music that makes a performance/song special. Coming through his music, one can feel Jim's desire to make people feel special, to entertain their troubles away and to reach beyond the stage. Graduating from Collinsville High School in 1981, Jim went on to attend college at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. After college Jim served his country for four years as a member of the United States Army Airborne Military Police Corp, being stationed in Egypt, Korea and the United States. He received several commendations including: Good Conduct, Army Achievement & Army accommodation medals. Honorable discharged in 1985, Jim settled in Texas. Lucky Texans!! Jim's first professional ambition was to be a Police Officer, which he pursued through the military and then the Pasadena Police Department. Now a 20 year veteran of the prestigious Pasadena Police Department, Jim has worked a variety of assignments. Jim presently serves as Detective on the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force where his duties include tracking and apprehending dangerous fugitives. Dedicated to his job protecting the public, Jim has performed additional duties such as apartment security services, highly visible aggressive patrols, executive protection, and corporate undercover surveillance operations. Always striving to be the best he can be, Jim has obtained an advanced certification in Hypnosis from the University of Houston (Downtown) and is certified in Forensic & Investigative Hypnosis by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Jim is also a handwriting analysis expert and has a Master Police Officer certification, issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Recognized for his outstanding duty, Jim has received a number of awards from the Pasadena Police Department and surrounding communities, including: Officer of the month (January 1993), Distinguished Service Award (1993), Channel 13's Officer of the week (1993), Houston Chronicle Officer of The Week (1993), two-time recipient of The First Baptist John Matthew's Community Service Award (1998 & 1999), Two Meritorious Service Award (2003 & 2004), as well as several letters of Accommodation throughout his career. It was never Jim Dilley's boyhood dream to grow up and become a singer, but as fate would have it that is where he has found himself. Planning on letting things with his singing career to continue to happen as the time is right Jim will simply continue to do what he loves . . . make music for the rest of us to enjoy! As one of the most humble people you'll ever meet. Professionalism, Charisma and Integrity are just some of the allusive attributes Jim Dilley possesses. These attributes come through not only in his performances, but also in his personal life. He truly sings from the heart . . . and continues to captivate his audiences wherever he performs.
