Diamonds from Dust
Jim Grande is a singer/songwriter/guitar player who has been making music for over 20 years. He has played in several bands over the years; most recently The New Patriots; a politically active rock band that fought for peace and social justice. Diamonds From Dust is Jim's first solo album; a highly personal affair which provides a showcase for his strong song writing and searing guitar. The material on the album was born from from Jim's personal experiences with loss, social justice, joy, and spiritual redemption. Diamonds From Dust features guest appearances by many of the New Jersey shore's most accomplished musicians including members of Terraplane Blues, the Mangos, and The New Patriots. Echos of Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Jim Croce, and even 80's metal can be heard in Jim's unique style. Though many different guitars can be heard on Diamonds From Dust, Jim's main axes are a 1987 Fender Stratocaster and a Martin DC-16.
