Live in Me
JOHNNY AMICO RELEASES NEW INSPIRATIONAL CD CRESTWOOD, ILLINOIS - Johnny Amico, a self-taught guitar musician, was destined to be a star at the early age of thirteen. He already had a following of his four sisters, who would sit at his feet to watch their brother play and sing. Johnny grew up in the Midwestern suburb of Palos Park, Illinois, located on the south side of Chicago. Johnny's passion to play guitar and sing continued with him through high school. He teamed up with fellow Marist High School buddy, Matthew Walsh, who currently can be heard singing with Johnny on 'LIVE IN ME.' The two performed together at major high school functions and even attended the same college, Bradley University, where they continued to perform together at Greek Life Events. After college, Johnny attended Depaul University and received a Masters in Business. He is President of the 'Share The Wealth' program, a national manufacturer and distributor of hair care products. His father, John Amico, a long-time veteran in the hair care industry, paired with his son in this successful venture. Johnny always loved to create music and finally his burning passion to perform was fulfilled when he became very involved with his local church, St. Alexander's, in Palos Park, Illinois, as a member of the choir. Numerous times, Johnny was asked to perform and write songs for the church. Whether it was for Sunday Mass, teen events or other special events, Johnny always seemed to surprise everyone with his talents to write, sing, and play. This was easy for Johnny, because he was writing music that he loved. Johnny's music brings healing and inspiration to a listener. You will find yourself singing his music throughout the day. This easy listening music brings peace to active busy lifestyles. You can listen to his music and feel refreshed. Your daily burdens will be lifted and a new spirit will rise. Johnny's first C.D., 'LIVE IN ME', was recorded in the summer of 2003. During the summer of 2003, Johnny gave his first live performance outside of the church at Border's Books and Music in Orland Park, Illinois, where he was well received by his audience. He sang and played music from his CD as well as some music which he performed in church. Johnny, with his beautiful wife, Julia, is the father of three children. Johnny Amico can now be seen playing at coffee shops, church events, and festive gatherings around Chicago and the South Suburbs.
