Born on September 5, 1963, the son of a carpenter born and raised in Chicago's Humboldt Park community, went to Roberto Clemente HS, then after that got married had 3 daughters. During which I served in 3 branches of service; Navy, Marines (as a Hospital Corpsman), and as a U.S. Coast Guard. A Persian Gulf war veteran, and was disabled during the first war. Received numerous medals and awards. After my divorce I went into recording my music with help from people who believed in me. Was on the local news on ABC7 in Chicago in 1998 ' One You Should know ' with Harry Porterfield. Played in numerous events from the Taste of Chicago to Ex-Calibur, just to name a few. In January 2005, I went to St. Sabina and became a member under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Michael L. Pfleger, Paster of St. Sabina. I've been playing the guitar since I guess when I first picked one up at the age of 8 from my brother, and it became a passion ever since. I also learned to play the piano, bass, percussions, etc.. I believe that music has an internal healing from our Lord, and when played in his presence, it releases not only healing, but an unexplainable unity of love, joy and hope in the presence of the people. I hope you enjoy and share this music with friends and family, that's my intension. Thank you for all your support! Jose I. Cornier.
