Hey Folks My music is often described as powerful and compelling. Folks have said my guitar playing is full of passion. I agree in juxtaposed sort of way. Music is the passion that compels me to find the power to keep moving through the human condition. I believe, music is a loving communion with something greater than myself, whatever that may be. To me music is unequivocal peace This album is a partial telling of my story. My engagement with life. It is also a tertiary exploration with pop-culture song format. It was produced and released to help me grow as a person and musician, as well as entertain and perhaps provoke the listener. My highly progressive style can be said to be rooted in blues, but there are rock, folk, punk, reggae overtones in a lot of my work. My improvisational style is also laced with jazz and classical idioms, mainly because my formal training began as an orchestral clarinetist. I did all the performances, recording, editing, etc on this album at BoogieMan Records in Bellingham Washington. BMR is my own label and was started for many reasons, the foremost being the creative expression it allows me. I wrote and arranged all but one of the songs on MotherLoad. The lyrics are intended to be somewhat controversial and as such, have been fervently criticized and targeted to be censored by some very ignorant people. You can help fight censorship by supporting this album. If you don't feel like buying the whole album, individual downloads are availible at most major download sites. It only costs 99 cents for a song so check it out. If you want to read my lyrics, click the link on this page to my website Thanx for stopping by. All the Best All Ways Joseph Cipriano.
