As Above So Below!
'MY STORY!' 'So I can continue affording my dog's orthodontist, I am attempting to sell this CD entitled 'As Above, So Below'. However, sometimes when my dog 'Goofy' brushes her teeth the bristles on her toothbrush get caught between her braces. Yet still, paying for my dog's orthodontist is a hell-of-a-lot better then having to deal with all of the other dogs in the neighborhood relentlessly teasing my dog about her overbite. Also, all CD sales will help send my dog to camp where she can pursue her dream and learn to dance 'The Macarena.' One critic once said my sister sounds a lot like my dog when she sings. As a result of this derogatory comment my sister cried for a week, but my dog cried for two weeks!' ---------------- Produced, engineered and mixed by - All music, arrangements and lyrics written by - (Except for 'The Disco Polka,' this is a tarantella with it's arrangement and lyrics written by) - All instruments and all vocals performed by Joe Malgeri, except for the flute by Gary Mazza, the female vocals by Jeanie Malgeri, and the Guru sitar was taken from a sound effects C.D. ----------------- For some listeners, if you are using AOL, the MP3 sound clips may sound better if you were to use Internet Explorer. ----------------- 'As Above, So Below!' - (C.D. Total Time: 79:36) ----------------- Hey Joe, Argentinean Space-Rock band 'Los Motors' really dug your music. You know that crazy Internet thing when you're searching for anything good and when you lose your hope, then you find it? I just heard fragments of it on your web site but I liked it enough to want to hear more. Man, the music scene in Argentina is so pale and I don't like the mainstream music of America at all, except for the classics. Let me know how I can get some of your records? Rock and roll will never die! John Motor ----------------- I listened to 'As Above, So Below' in it's entirety last night. Wow, it runs together nicely. I want to call it a concept album; but whatever. There was a lot of stand out moments that eluded me in the light of day; but I gotta' tell ya there's some real winners on there, in fact I didn't hear one clinker. The sound is really great too, you get sucked right in on that first track. I'll be going back to that one, and thanks again. You should have your CDs in Westfield's Sound Station store. Bob is also a musician and a great guy too; and he'll give you some in-store play too. I could give him my copies but you may want to talk to him. 'As Above...' is now in heavy rotation at my house. Should be called 'The Hook'. Really having fun learning what all those songs are saying. Also really love the sound of that opening track - surround sound heaven! I spoke with Bob at Sound Station and he said no problem leaving some cds. Richard M. Galuppo ----------------- OK Joe, I am now officially a fan. My! You are prolific!! I look forward to getting your CD's and I'll try to send you more of mine. I like this stuff even more than the last CD's. The Disco Polka and Hillbilly Roy's Dilemma stand out for me, but it all is very unusual stuff. Good CD surface art, how did you do it? Give me a call, I want to talk to you. Joe, you're a good guy. You are very kind to invite me to help on your next CD. If you have some ideas, pass them by me, I could scream a few bars - but my sitars have floated off to space-somewhere between a rusty theremin and a busted dulcimer. Thanks-keep in touch! B Martin ----------------- For the record: The first piece entitled 'All Aboard' is not a song, it is actually only an 1:08 minute CD introduction. The last piece entitled 'Nuclear Fusion' is also not a song, it is only an 1:11 minute CD closing outro. ----------------- 'As Above So Below contains more comedy than all of the other JM CDs combined, it also contains experimental music!' - Yours Truly Captain Safety, AKA: The Man From Nantucket!
