Hi everyone. I've been gradually adding lyrics to the album below when I get a chance. I hope this helps you to enjoy your music more. I plan to send a copy of the lyrics to everyone who has purchased an album. It's going to take a while, but I'll get it to you. I also hope to send a sample of some of my latest recordings. With Love, Josie Samarra I've got a gun on my heart, and a peace sign on my hand I've got a smile on my face, I'm in a foreign land The children they welcome in the day, but in the night My hand's on my pistol as I smile back in fright. Soon they may be shouting, and screaming words of hate Sooner or later, they may give me my fate. Don't you think that it's strange in the braid of hate and love to look like an eagle and try to fly like a dove?? I feel I'm on the verge sometimes, the verge of something big. I feel my only gift is time, I feel I'm getting sick. I feel I'm on a stage sometimes, but I don't understand There's no one handing me my lines, no one clapping hands. Fine time to be a grownup, fine time to be a kid, fine moment to be getting blamed, not knowing what you did Everybody's laughing, I've seemed to miss the joke, my mind is heavy in a cast, I don't remember when it broke, but Don't you think that it's strange in the braid of hate and love to look like an eagle and try to fly like a dove? Don't you think that it's strange in the braid of hate and love to look like an eagle and try to fly like a dove? Same Stars I can see your eyes when I close mine. Hear your voice every time I hear the wind sigh. Though I'm standing alone in the sand, my body senses the touch of your hand. Everywhere that I go; no matter what will follow. No matter what I know; no matter what will follow. If it's high or if it's low, together we are...under the same stars. I can speak your name without words; hear your voice, hear your laughing amongst the birds. Feel the warmth of your hand in the sun. I know you're my gift, and where you've come from. You Come to Me You come to me in the day, like a whisper, softly hushing me into the night, and I need you like thought needs care, I love you, no matter what when or where. I look to the inside when I'm out of reach of all I teach in doubt. I look to the outside when within me I don't know where to begin, I cover my eyes and I see your face. And that's the point, I don't care, or wonder why I'm in this place. 'Cause, you come to me in the day like a whisper, softly hushing me into the night, I need you like breath needs air I love you, no matter what, when or where. I look to the moon and see you dance, I look to the sun and see you smile down upon me...I come to a challenge and I want to run away at the first glance, but the thought of you makes me what to take that chance.....Oh, I want to take that chance. I love you. Another Day So this is what it's like to be a cloud up in the sky. This is how it feels to know how, when, why... And where, and who, and what I've come to be. What can I say? So tell me how it feels to use and to leave. Tell me what you will, I'll hear but may not listen to words so hard to believe. Your mouth's untrue, and I won't lie to you. There's nothing more to say. Tell me how it feels to use and to leave. Tell me what you will, I'll hear but cannot look into eyes that love to decieve. Oh how I loved your eyes, but they mean nothing to me now. I live another day. You're nothing to me now. I live another day. -------------- MY BIO I was born in Colorado, an Air Force brat, but I was raised in Southern California. My mom says that I sang my first note before I spoke my first word, and that I have not stopped talking or singing for anymore than ten minutes at a time since. The songs on this CD were inspired by songs that I wrote while I was a cadet at West Point and during my first deployment to Iraq. I'm currently working on another project, and play gigs whenever my vocation allows.
