One of the hottest aspiring artists, Julie Zorrilla is a talented 17 years old singer, songwriter and pianist pursuing a career in the music business. She began studying classical piano at the age of five and wrote her first song in Spanish by the time she turned seven. Shortly after her eighth birthday, the violence ravaging Colombia forced Julie and her family to leave their home in Cali and seek a better life in the United States, where she continued to cultivate her passion for the arts as a dancer and musician. At 14, Julie left Denver School of the Arts and spent a year attending Idyllwild Arts Academy, a boarding arts school in southern California. While there, she dedicated her time training as a classical singer in order to further improve her vocal technique and performance skills. At 15 Julie began writing/producing her first demo, which led her to the studio of producer Nathan Reid. By the age of 17 Julie has finished her first professional EP under Reid's Indie label 'Mercury Sauce,' and is continuing her artistic and academic studies at Denver School of the Arts. One of Julie's main dreams as an artist is to be able to remind people that the true purpose of music is communication, and that the most valuable aspect of music is the music itself and the message for which it stands for.
