Kacia Buckley is an up and coming singer/songwriter born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She started writing music in 2002 with the inspiration of various artists such as Joy Williams, Ginny Owens and Allison Krauss. Influenced by country, contemporary Christian, pop, and rock, her new CD 'Perspective' released in March of 2005, reveals her unique and accomplished vocal stylings and technique as you listen to 'Light Me Up' and many others. This CD was produced by Paul Colley and recorded at Sunday Recording Studio in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kacia started singing at the age of six and later sang at numerous social events and church functions. She led worship in her hometown church youth group, performed in other church choirs and ensembles, show choir, musicals, and school jazz ensembles while attending junior high and high school. She participated in ECOCDA Honor Choir, OCDA Girls All-State Choir, OCDA Jazz All-State Ensemble, OMEA Mixed All-State Choir in high school, and COCDA Honor Choir in junior high. Kacia also performed at the 2005 Cleveland County Fair in Moore, Oklahoma and the 2006 Arts Festival in Oklahoma City's Bricktown. Kacia graduated from Midwest City High School in 2003, attended Oklahoma Baptist University for two years with emphasis on family psychology, and is presently working as a hair stylist in Midwest City. Her passion is music and she will continue to perform, write and record.
