Into Me See
Gospel recording artist, Kanisha Davis, is no newcomer to the art of gospel music and reveals that the completion of her first CD has been nothing short of what God promised. Born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma, most of her musical influence came from her grandparents, Chester and Louise Smith. Kanisha states, 'It was my grandparents who instilled in me the love of gospel music. They had such powerful voices and sang with such conviction and emotion.' So it was only natural for her to follow in their footsteps. Her 2005 debut album entitled In To Me See (in-to-me-see) is a result of years of preparation by life lessons learned in the midst of turmoil and uncertainty. The title of the album instructs believers to take a closer more intimate look at their relationship with Christ. So often intimacy is the missing ingredient in our walk with Christ. The songs on the album were written to enlighten the listener, encourage their spirit, and evoke a deeper relationship with Christ. For example, the lead track 'Thanks Be Unto You', is 21st Century upbeat praise anthem that will make you dance and thank God for His blessings and rebirth. The song 'Into Me See', reveals Kanisha's passion for communion with the Creator. In an even more personal song entitled 'More of Thee', Kanisha speaks of her thirst and hunger for more of God's presence. The production of the album took place at Lion's Den Studios in Muskogee, Ok. with Lonnie Barker as the Executive Producer. Also assisting in the production process were Kanisha's younger brother Arian Smith aka Young NEO, Joe Campbell of New Balm Ministries, and Stephen T. Ivey.
