Kass Finlay McAuliffe is an award-winning Sydney-based composer and performer of light instrumental music. She has made seven instrumental CDs in various styles, including three in a new age / light jazz style with wildlife sounds, calling these 'landscape instrumentals'. Her AVIAN DREAMS CD features her award-winning instrumental, 'Down in Mesopotamia' which won "Best Instrumental Composition" in the 5th Johnny Dennis Music Awards, awarded in Sydney, Australia 2003. Irish Television included her light-jazz instrumental 'Moon Shoes and Magnolia Blues' from her second landscape instrumental music CD 'ASPIRE 2 FLY' in one of their documentary soundtracks. Comments on her music range from 'my headache went away' to 'the baby fell asleep in the backseat' to 'relaxing' to ' I liked the birdsong in the background'. It's also been described as 'new age with attitude' or light jazz with rock or Latin rhythms, usually blended with natural sound effects such as birdsong, or waterfalls or the sea.
