Pianist/composer Kathleen Stinnett's first independent album, Winter Dream, is now available from Piglet Productions. A collection of twelve reflective, soothing, and peaceful piano solos, Winter Dream creates a peaceful, uplifting mood for listeners. 'Winter Dream is a dream come true for me in many ways,' Kathleen says. 'For years I have been helping individuals entrepreneur their lives - intentionally making choices which represent their highest selves and their dreams for living more fully. Three years ago, I discovered what I most needed to do for myself - return to my own music and share my gifts with others.' Living a 'portfolio life,' Kathleen continues to consult and coach individuals to craft the lives they most want to be living, while she explores her musical passions and performs in a variety of venues. Part of her ongoing coaching practice focuses on helping others tap the creative energy within. With much of her musical training in classical piano, Kathleen found herself more inspired by the moving, flowing sounds of new age music. Influenced by great pianists including George Winston and David Lanz, Kathleen found her own style of composing and playing. She wrote all of the songs on the Winter Dream album, ranging from soft, soothing ballads (Winter Dream, Over the Clouds) to the light-hearted, up-beat Irish Hills and Music Box. Most of the songs are dedicated to special people and memories in her life. Kathleen is a native of Colorado (born in Leadville and raised outside of Denver) and currently lives in Santa Barbara, California - considered paradise to many who visit. She lives and works in Santa Barbara, traveling frequently around the country, exploring new destinations and revisiting favorite places. What others have said about Kathleen's music: Winter Dream's lyrical piano music soothes the mind, awakens the heart and exalts the spirit. Listening to Winter Dream creates a sense of being carried by the wind, of floating upon a cloud, and embracing the divine.
